Our current philanthropy commitments include a partnership with Autism Speaks at the University of Virginia. This year brothers will be participating in conjunction with members of Autism Speaks in a 5K walk/run in Richmond, VA. Last year, we also conducted the first annual Theta-Delt-a-Thon music festival. In the coming year, we hope to expand on that traditional by increasing attendance and band participation.
Our fraternity house is one of historic and illustrious tradition. With such a rich history, new maintenance projects are a constant concern. Current projects include plans to re-tile the basement, replace aging couches in our main room and replace appliances in our house kitchen. These projects will increase the comfort of both brothers and guests of the Nu charge.
We currently hold one major educational goal in mind. At the moment, the house's charge room is used as a general storage area by those living in the house. Our goal is to convert this space into a study room of some variety. This will further our commitment to academic excellence and will create a quiet space of for brothers living in the house.
